Flintec Achieves ISO 50001 Certification for Sri Lanka Manufacturing Facilities

Flintec has reached a significant milestone in its sustainability journey, with ISO 50001:2018 certification awarded to our manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka. This internationally recognised standard reflects our continued commitment to improving energy efficiency and reducing our environmental impact.

Achieving certification involved the rollout of a structured energy management programme across our operations. Supported by international partners, we invested in specialist training, enhanced internal capabilities, and implemented practical tools and frameworks to drive measurable change.

Key initiatives included establishing dedicated energy teams, developing robust energy policies, and introducing a range of no and low-cost energy-saving measures. These efforts were complemented by targeted investments in efficient power generation technologies, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient operation.

The Sri Lanka Standards Institution formally audited our facilities in early 2025, leading to certification.

This achievement reinforces Flintec’s long-term focus on responsible business practices and sustainable manufacturing, providing our customers with further assurance of our values in action.
